'Verlan' slang - an intermediate podcast
Le verlan
France's very own slang, 'le verlan' is the subject of this week's conversation. As mentioned in the recording, it's not recommended to use this all the time. To use it, you must be very comfortable in French, otherwise, you'll sound strange. It's something you might be able to use for humour. Definitely recommended, though, to learn and to understand, like our first word 'louche' or 'chelou', which means 'shady'/'dodgy'
